Secret Santa

 

This is the amazing box that my secret Santa sent me filled with goodies! She knew me well and made it Steampunk! I didn't know if I would be able to figure out who my secret Santa was ...until I opened the box on Christmas! I took one look and KNEW it had to be from Wendy Aspinall ! Her style is unmistakable and I was thrilled with what she sent! Take a peek:

I was not thinking and did not take any pics of the box I made for my secret Santa! I know! Where has my brain been? So as soon as I can "steal" some pics from my partner I will post them! :O)

Steampunk Jewelry

 

Just a few pics of some of the jewelry I made this year... some of it is gone but I have quite a bit left for an art center fundraiser at the end of the month. My ETSY store is empty right now but when the smoke clears and I see what pieces I have left I will be adding them to my store!

Gatherings on the Blue

 

I love a good junk jaunt and when we were visiting my brother-in-law and his family for Thanksgiving they took us to a great out of the way place called "Gatherings on the Blue"

 

It's a farm place that is consigned out to vendor's to sell all kinds of great old junk and some handmade crafts too. I loved this...whatever this is! I wanted to get it but no room in our car for it!

 

I could have spent all day rummaging through everything!

 

This is my brother-in-law Jim. He makes the coolest birdhouses , Nebraska Husker barn wood signs, and other barn wood pieces.

 

Even the house was filled with antiques and other goodies

This is the view from the loft. Every square inch had something in it! I am definitely going back next year! I did not find a website for them but if you live in or near Nebraska they are located 8 miles south of the Seward exit and the owner is Judy Roth (402-560-5984)
