Beach themed mini-album

This is a mini-album I made for my brother. He commissioned it for some friends of his. He wanted a beach / ocean theme and this is what I made. The cover has beach glass as the knob to wrap the string on to close the book. I glued several shells that he found at the beach in the corner.

there is a tiny message in a bottle with a tiny seashell and some sand strung with the ribbons

this is a tag book so I made lots of pockets for tags and pictures

this page has a top pocket and a side pocket

I made a journaling booklet using some of his vacation pics printed onto clear plastic

I went with a color scheme of brown and blue. This page has an open ended pocket to slide pics into

I got a lot of my supplies from Alpha Stamps . I love to go to their site and check out the paper section. I found all of these vintage bathing beauties there.

I also found some three dimensional stickers at hobby lobby

this is one of my favorite pages because of the slider card. They are a little tricky to make but they are so cool!

A little doorway with a pic behind it

I like the texture on this page

more cool images from alpha stamps papers

this little square opens up....

into several pages with chalkboard sections

and this is the back of the book. I think it turned out pretty well and I hope the people who receive it like it! I haven't been around to visit everyone's blogs much lately because my oldest son is getting married next Saturday and we have been crazy busy around here getting ready! I'm hoping to have more time in a few weeks to get back to blogging and visiting again! :O)

Garden Fairys and Alpha Stamps

these are two of six mini ATC cards I made for the Vintage Dragonfly Altered Matchbox Group swap. The theme is garden fairies and I made three boy and three girl fairies.

This is the awesome ATC I received from Laura Carson. She is the queen of ATC's!

And this is the absolutely stunning package of craft supplies I won at the Alpha Stamps website! They had a contest where you visited other blogs and found a hidden word in each blog , then you had to unscramble the words to make a phrase and send it in.. and I won!!!!! There was too much stuff to take individual pictures but have a peek at what I get to play with.....

an awesome Prima idea book ( I already bookmarked several ideas I want to try!)

hemp string, filigree, domino's, cards and flowers....

stamps, chipboard, and  stickers...

bingo numbers, beads, and more stickers....

image sheets, papers, and so much more that isn't visible! It's all in the gypsy theme and I can't wait to make something with it all!

Fairy house swap

I joined in a Fairy house swap at BlissfullARTswaps and this is the house I received from Wendy at Bliss angels. I was stoked to be Wendys partner because I have seen her work and, as you can see, she is awesome! She made mine a steampunk fairy house! How cool is that?

It is just cool from top to bottom! Look at the cute little mushroom on the side!

And this metal label on the back of the house is my favorite part! I love it!

This is the House I made for Wendy. I got some sticks from our yard and glued them on and added some moss. Then I added a few fairies all over. I asked my daughter if it was to much and she said "no way! Can I keep it?" so I felt safe sending it to Wendy!

steampunk tin swap

I was in an awesome swap at BlissfullARTswaps this last month. I was paired up with the fabulous Mina of Green witch with sprinkles for this swap. This is the beautiful tin she made for me. The picture does not do it justice at all..it's just perfect! I really love the way she made a hanger for it so I can hang it up to display it!

she also made me an awesome steampunk fan and bookmark! I love love love it all!

this is the tin I made for Mina. I had wanted to have the tin do something and I was trying to figure it out when my sister Maria volunteered to make something mechanical in it for me (shes a physicist and very smart!)

She made it so that the tin plays music! How cool is that? So I have to give credit to her for making my tin so cool :O) Thanks Maria!!!!!
