Tis the Season...for craft shows!
This was my table at the Yuletide Market this last weekend. I'm not very creative when it comes to decorating tables..but I do like how the Christmas ornaments looked
I went on http://www.thegraphicsfairy.com and found these really cool vintage soap ads. I had one lady ask me if she could buy the signs!
my husband made me this stand for my paintings the day before the show! He's a keeper!
All in all it was a good day. I sold half of my jewelry and all but one shoulder bag. No paintings sold but I expected that with the economy the way it is. I had a lot of good comments on them though.Well, one more show this Saturday in my hometown then I'm taking the loot and going CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

Vintage Christmas ornaments
I needed some decorations for my table at an upcoming craft show but I didn't want anything to colorful or "loud" that would make the table look cluttered, plus I wanted a vintage look..I found this idea on http://simplesisterblog.blogspot.com/ . I took some old Christmas balls that I was ready to throw out and made them useable again!
I found an old book already falling apart and tore the pages into strips, put some glue on the back of the strips and smoothed them onto the Christmas balls..kinda tricky and my fingers were full of glue before I finished my first one!
after they dried a little I also put a little glue around the top of the ball and added some glitter
then I ran around the house looking for little boxes and wrapped them in craft paper and twine. I'm hoping this will be neutral enough to be simple but still festive. I will post pictures of my table after the show this weekend!

Vintage Handbags
My weekend project were these vintage inspired hand bags. I dug into my lace scrap bag and this is what I came up with!
This one has sheet music on the background from http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/ , a few watch parts and buttons, some tape measure ribbon, and a little bling :)
I used a beautiful doily I found at a craft show this summer with a watch face and an old key and tag that says 'create'.
More sheet music, buttons, key ,and a metal tag that says 'vintage'
I think this is my favorite one. I had a really cool old button with the paint peeling off in this awesome aqua blue color, and I also ran across an applique flower with the same blue color. I love that color blue with brown!
This one has a transfer I made from http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/,they have so many really cool designs to pick from! I just put iron-on transfer paper in my printer and voila! I used these old green felt buttons and another watch face.

my big helper
My big helper this weekend! He likes to sleep on whatever project I want to work on!
I just love lace and vintage materials!
I got myself a metal stamp kit and have been playing with it!
This is a little shoulder bag I made with some of my "stash" I also made iron-ons from images I found on the graphics fairy website
My mother-in-law brought me back some arrow heads from her trip to Colorado and Wyoming. This is my attempt at making jewelry out of them!
If you are reading this post go over to http://trashtotreasureart.blogspot.com/ , Lynn is having a three year anniversary and has an awesome giveaway going on! She has some amazing art work on her blog so check it out!
