Country Market Days

There will be another country market day on August 13th. I can't wait! It's so much fun to sit and talk to people about art and craft projects all day and enjoy the outdoors. I just hope it's not too hot! I have so much more to do to get ready... I need to learn to not procrastinate so much. If you live in the Norfolk Nebraska area come out and see all of the great stuff the vendors have!

Country Market Days
You're welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful countryside market atmosphere where you can buy or sell many things from yummy baked goods and fresh product to crafts and treasured antiques. To become a vendor, contact Whitney Miller at 402-369-0217. For just $20 you receive unlimited space for the day to set up your booth and sell your wares. Or, just come and enjoy yourself and see what the local vendors have to offer! The Pilger Q125 Committee will be serving concessions, so come on out over the lunch hour and bring your family and friends!

my attempt at painting a person!

This is one of my daughters senior pictures and I loved it so much I wanted to try to paint it......

It turned out o.k. but I'm just not very good with faces!

Oh well, my daughter liked it and it was fun to try! I think I'm going to stick with barns and old cars!

my old jewelry collection

A tray of rings, all shapes and sizes!

My husband bought this antique printer drawer chest for me for Christmas one year.I have about ten drawers filled so far.... lots of room for more!!!

I just love old jewelry! I think my obsession started when my great grandma gave me a brooch of hers when I was 9 years old ( I still have it!)

I found a very small old trunk at a yard sale and filled it with old beads, a dress from Paris, laces and doilies, and old family photos.

My art work

these old trucks were parked about four blocks from my house and I just had to paint them!

this is a Sand Creek Post and Beam barn

This is also a Sand Creek Post and Beam barn

I was out driving around country roads with my husband when we ran across this old truck in the trees. I did a series of three from different angles

This is one of my favorite pictures of a Sand Creek Post and Beam barn!

All of the above barns are Sand Creek Post and Beam barns that I have painted. check out their website and see all of the AMAZING barns they make!

old barn window frames

I had some old dirty windows out in the barn. I knew I wanted to do something with them and the I found a picture on a website that used old photos and windows like this.

I had fun digging through my old photos looking for the right pictures

I love this picture of my grandpa in his baseball uniform!

I'm glad I found a use for these old frames and now I'm wondering if they look to plain? I was thinking of adding something else but I'm just not sure what yet. I will re-post if inspiration comes to me!

Jessi's mini album

This is a mini album I made for my daughter Jessica. It was my first attempt at this type of scrapbooking and I loved it! I never could get into scrapbooking with pages and pictures in the traditional way!

I used an old rusty key as an accent.

I make my own homemade paper and I used it for several tags in this album.

The pages are small manila envelopes folded so there is a small pocket and a large on for each page.

I took some of my homemade paper and forced - I mean HELPED it through my printer and printed pictures of my daughter for some really cute tags! (this was probably not a good idea to do to the printer, I recommend very thin paper if you try this!)

I used my homemade paper to make this little book and put pictures of artwork my daughter had done in art class

I attempted to make my own flower. it turned out o.k. but I like the bluemoon scrapbooking flowers better!

I really like this type of scrapbook because I 'm not much for journaling, but I do like to save bits of memorabilia and this is a great way to save that sort of stuff!

I got this idea off a you-tube video and I just had to try it! how cute is a corset holder?

so many cool papers...so little time!

the back closure is a tag off my daughters jeans she bought. I thought the tag was to pretty to throw away!
