So I have been taking a break from jewelry making and thought I would show a few pics of some summer projects I have been working on. First, I have a bountiful crop of dandelions every year and I'm always on the hunt for something to do with them. I always make dandelion jelly of course but I just found a recipe for dandelion lotion bars....so of course I had to make them! They turned out wonderful and my family loves them. I founds the recipe at The Nerdy Farm Wife and I found this cute mold at Brambleberry Soap supplies
This is a painting I just finished for a patient man who waited FOREVER for me to finally get it done! I don't think he thought he was ever going to see it finished :)
And finally I have been making all sorts of Superhero themed props for the summer reading week at our library. The theme this year is "Every Hero Has a Story". This is my first attempt at a paper mache boulder. I think it turned out pretty realistic and I think the kids will love to use their super powers to lift the big boulder :)
I painted this photo op from a picture I found on Pinterest. I also painted small landscaping rocks green for "find the Kryptonite" and I have been making several superhero capes (another Pinterest find) out of plastic tablecloths.
After this week I will be back to making jewelry and pictures will be coming soon...

It's here! Nebraska Life Magazine did an article on my Steampunk Jewelry in the latest issue. That was pretty exciting :O) I'm a little behind in posting because we had a small basement fire a couple of weeks ago and things are just now returning to normal. Here are a few more pics of some of my jewelry:
My next show is the Omaha Bead Affair. I'm excited to show my jewelry in a new place! I 'm afraid I may buy more than I sell!

Back in 1999 my mother had one of her photographs published in Nebraska Life Magazine. In March Nebraska Life Magazine is going to do an article about my Steampunk jewelry and my art. I am so excited to have my work in this magazine! What makes this even more exciting is that my daughter will also be in the article because she did all of the photography of the jewelry and of me working on the jewelry. She will get photo credit and well deserved because her pictures turned out amazing! Now we will be able to say that three generations have been in this magazine. Here are just a few of the pictures she took of some of my jewelry:
I will be posting more pics when the magazine comes out in March :O)

These are a few of my newest pieces. I love dragonflies and I used several in this new batch of necklaces.
I love the little tiny bottles and it lets me use all of the little stems and hands from the watches I take apart.
This piece is very deceiving in the picture...It's actually only about as big as a nickle!
I love it when I find cool old pieces of metal like this old hotel tag.
This piece has a magnifying glass front that is also iridescent! I love the purple and yellow colors that come through.
Now that I have some more jewelry in stock I can work on my homemade soap!
